Lucky Me! Nail Mail from 2 Chix, Pahlish, and Zambia Trip

Much to my husband's dismay all of these came in today.  I've been occasionally buying a bottle or two of polish here and there and while these 2 Chix polishes are expensive...aren't they awesome?

I can't wait to try them both on!  Sully has lime green matte micro glitter with large blue and purple squares.  Kur-Age has neon yellow matte micro glitter with small red, blue, green, and purple squares.

Every time I look at this polish I have to laugh....because of the name.   Pahlish's Glittoris is glorious hot pink jelly base with red, fuchsia, pink, aqua, and silver glitters of various shapes and sizes.

 

Last, there was a mix up way back when I ordered from Zambia Trip Nails on etsy and she came back from her trip and sent me Grape Crush, which I had originally ordered.  She also threw in two other polishes as a bonus JazzBerry Pie and Fly Me to the Moon.  

Love the look of these polishes and they will all be swatched sooner rather than later!

 

Sinful Colors Lets Talk with Ruby Kisses HD Mardi Gras

Have I mentioned how much I love discount beauty stores?  Both that I go to have Klean Colors, NYX, and Ruby Kisses polishes for under $2!  Today I am showcasing Sinful Colors Lets Talk and a Ruby Kisses HD glitter polish called Mardi Gras.

 

Sunflower Nails -- A Tutorial

The husband and I went to Estes Park for a few days and I wanted some cute nails.  Sunflowers have been on my radar and after a Google images search I got some great inspiration.  I also had the time and patience to take tutorial pics so you can recreate the look if you like it!

I first started with Orly Bonder and then applied two coats of Sinful Colors Sweet Dreams.

I then used Sinful Colors Nirvana to paint on large brown ovals on to each nail in a random pattern.  Using Insta Dri Bronze Ablaze I accented the middle of each circle.

I then used Sinful Colors Snow Me White to draw in the base shape of the petals and leaves.

I then painted the petals with Sinful Colors Let's Meet and accented each petal with Sinful Colors Cloud 9.

Last, I painted the leaves with Sinful Colors Happy Ending and traced the outline of the flowers and leaves with Ebony Hates Chris.

Nail Mail from Pretty and Polished - Pool Party swatch...

I finally was able to score Punk'd Up Betty and Pool Party from Pretty and Polished.  The more popular Pretty and Polished polishes get, the harder it is to score them.  Thankfully Chelsea did a recent pre-order option.

Naild'It Unique Polishes Froggy Pond and Vegas Sands

My order from Naild' It Unique Polish from Andeevie's Etsy Shop.  I saw Froggy Pond and Vegas Sands and I am on this matte glitter obsessive kick so I had to get them.

As usual, I couldn't wait to put on one of these bad boys so I applied two coats of Sinful Colors Neon Melon and then two coats of Vegas Sands.  Last I applied a topcoat.  Vegas Sands applies evenly and easily and its insanely neon and bright.  LOVE IT!

Vivid Lacquer Polishes and Plates

Vivid Lacquer is a indie polish maker for me.  I added her on Facebook and saw that she was sending mini polishes out for bloggers to review for free.  Score!  After some back and forth, she sent me the polishes below to review!  

What strikes me about her polishes is the color combinations.

 Daisy is a milky white base with tiny green glitter, yellow hex glitters, and white diamond glitters.
It applies smoothly and covers completely in two coats. The pic below also has a top coat.

Don't Forget the Rum is a smoky grey base with rose and pink hex glitters, small white and black glitters, white and black bar glitters,  and black and white square glitters.  Below is three coats plus a top coat.  I only did three because I wanted a little better variety of glitter.  I can't wait to sport this polish for Fall!

Moonlit Cheshire is violet base with silver and black micro glitters, fuchsia hex glitters, and silver shard glitters.   It applies evenly and every brush stroke is full of glitter.  Below is two coats of Moonlit Cheshire plus a top coat. 


Out of all of the polishes sent, Moonlit Cheshire is my favorite. 

Vivid Lacquer glitter polishes are very unique and they are chalk full of glitter goodness.  On top of that, I see no bleeding, no curling, and no separation or settling.  Very good quality!




In addition, Vivid Lacquer also has designed her own nail stamping plates.  I purchsed VL 001 and VL002 from her Etsy store.  From her Facebook page Vivid Lacquer has announced that she will soon have a 3rd plate up for sale.  I also tested a couple of full nail art images from each plate.  The designs stamp on easily and clearly.  Love these images!  Tetris?  Jolly Roger print?  Honey combs?  Awesome and something you don't see every day!

I won some polish!!

Llarowe just had an incredible giveaway with over 150 winners.   I was one of those lucky, lucky winners and the polish I won was Hits Pega Pega!   I couldn't wait so I had to take off two layers of glitter to do another mani!

Pega Pega is absolutely stunning but needed an accent nail or two so I looked towards my indie polish stash and found Lacquer Convention's Snap, Crackle, Pop.  It goes perfectly with Pega Pega!

Snap, Crackle, Pop is full of purple, fuchsia, black, and white glitters of various sizes.  It brushes on smoothly and with only two coats it covers well.  Once you apply a topcoat, this glitter takes on a lot of depth and sparkles like crazy!  Its. Beautiful!

Phat Camp, OMG!

Yet another beauty from Pretty and Polished's Camp Collection, Phat Camp does not disappoint! It has small fuchsia glitters, purple glitter shards, and large blue hex glitters in a clear base.
