More Indie Polishes plus a few others!

I received some more indie polishes that I had to share.

Satellite and Ultraviolet from the Polish Bar!! 

I also received three beautiful mini polishes from Lush Lacquer.  I think I will probably eventually buy these all in full size.  They are THAT exceptional!

Also, I used a 20% off one product at a local Bed, Bath, and Beyond that has a beauty section (not all of them do!) and saved a little bit of $$ on Essie's wildly popular "Bikini So Teeny."  I can't wait to get this color on my toes!

I also grabbed Petite's Daze and Pure Ice's Strapless on a Walmart shopping trip.   Daze reminds me of my friend, NJ who adores anything lime green so when I wear it I'll think of her and laugh:)  I think Strapless would be awesome for a sparkling, glitter bombed patriotic mani or pedi for the 4th.  Look out for some of those soon! 

So my polish total is now over 450 bottles and counting.   Next week should bring an order of a couple of full size glitters from Lush Lacquer and a full size polish from Darling Diva Polish as well as my Pinterest minis and buy 2 get 1 free full size polishes from Zoya.  Hopefully, Ill be done for a little while after that because I ran out room 200 polishes ago.

I brake for cheap polish and awesome trades

I recently went to my favorite hole-in-the-wall beauty supply store and found several $1-$2 polishes from Klean Color and Ruby Kisses.

I then went to the Mile High Flea Market and found a vendor selling these cute polishes for $1. 

 Last, I recently joined a Polish Swapping Facebook group and was able to swap my Nerd Lacquer "All of Time and Space" for Butter London's Black Knight.  Love it so much. 

Late April Polish Haul *Pic Heavy*

So...I broke down and bought/ordered more polish.   I can't help it if I have a good eye for great deals and too-die-for glitter polishes!

First, I have to share how I scored the Pretty and Polished polishes.  I essentially stalked the Facebook and Etsy site until the bottles dropped and snatched them up within a few minutes.

Now, I *know* that there is controversy about Sticks N' Stones being the Lynnderella Connect the Dots dupe.  I also know that I've waited months to order from Lynderella and have YET to get my hands on one bottle of any Lynnderella polishes :(  When it becomes available again, I plan to buy some Lynnderella polishes but until then, I plan to enjoy Sticks N Stones without guilt!

So a rare swatch fest ensued because I just had to see what these new indie glitters looked like!  Sticks N Stones is over a base of Julep's Taylor,
Party On My Yacht is alone, two coats,
Jawbreaker is alone, two coats,
Hello, Dolly is over a base of Julep's Emilie,
Valentino is over a base of Sinful Colors Forever Pink!

Next, I have to share the awesome stash of Klean Color polishes I bought for $1 each at a flea market in Cleburne.   I have been searching for Chunky Holos for quite a while and when I came across these, I snapped them up!  I also bought the six other polishes below!

 I ordered this Resort collection mini set from Ulta and adore every polish.  So pretty!

I cannot contain my excitement to finally own some Hits polishes!  I ordered these from Llarowe and they are worth every penny!

I found these darling polishes by Jessie's Girl at Rite Aid!

These Julep polishes are part of my $50 gift certificate order from my Easter Mystery Box!

Couldn't resist buying this chunky red glitter.  I have some ideas in mind!

I read about Wet N Wild Chrome polish on Nouveau Cheap's blog and went around town trying to find them .  I was successful at an out-of-the-way Rite Aid!!

This polish fiend is such a lucky girl!   Can't wait to use all of these in some awesome nail art!

Nail Mail and another Polish Haul

On my way home again from work, I decided to hit the discount beauty supply store again for some more $1-$2 polishes.  I was not disappointed! $26 dollars later, I had 16 new bottles of polish. 

When I got home, I had my Julep Maven box for this month waiting for me as well!

This month I went with It Girl because Niecy speaks to me and Penelope and Annette are perfect pastels for Spring!  On top of the polishes, Julep sent toe separators and chocolate eggs!  So glad I joined Julep!


I did get my polish fix for now but as most of you know from experience, it doesn't last long.  Can't wait to use some of these awesome holos, chromes, pastels, shimmers, glitters, and cremes!

March Polish Haul

I have been passing by this discount beauty supply place for months on my way to work and I finally got a chance to go in there to see what kind of polish they have.   I was not disappointed.  $12 and some change later I was the pleased owner of several new bottles of polish.

Today I also dragged my husband to a flea market and found two vendors that had $1-$2 polish bins.  I spent $17 for the polishes and cuticle cream below.

So 20 polishes and some cuticle cream for under $30!  Now where to put them...

Polish Haul and Nails Two Ways: Splatter Mint Nails and Mint Cirlces and Dots Nails

I really, really, really need to stop buying polish but these were such good deals that I couldn't pass them up.  Not to mention, oh my, pastels!  Also, I've been generating all sorts of ideas using studs so the Kiss Nail Art Metallic stickers were an especially cool find!

I couldn't wait to try I Need A Refresh-Mint so I painted my base coated nails with two coats of this mint-y polish.

Next, I decided to try Splatter Nails one more time with a smaller straw and had better results this time!  I call these Splatter Mint Nails.

On the other hand, I wanted to try something different so using the same small straw I created circles, half circles, and arches in four different pastel polishes.  Next I took my smallest dotting tool and applied random dots in the same color to each nail.

The Splatter Mint Nails look so cool and my Mint Circles and Dots Nails are extra cool!

Today is Awesome! Nail Mail!!

The nail gods smiled upon me today as my Deborah Lippmann and Julep Maven orders arrived at the same time.

If you are a glitter fiend like me, you would have jumped at the chance to get two of Deborah Lippman's awesome glitters, Across the Universe and Happy Birthday for 50% off.  Deborah put these two glitters and one other on sale for one day only for a segment on GMA!  I happened to catch her tweet about it and voila! magic happened!

I can tell you that w/o the sale I would never have ponied up the $18 per bottle that the DL polishes, especially these two glittters, sell for so I feel pretty fortunate to have caught the one day sale!

Next, as always, I enjoy the delight that is my Julep Maven box.

No, your eyes aren't deceiving you--that is a nicely sized piece of chocolate in my Julep Box!  I tried some and it was sooo good!  The two polishes I received were Glenn, a sparkly red polish, and Oscar, gold glitter.  I also got some great smelling roll-on cuticle oil.  Last, Jane's tip on my Julep postcard is one EVERY glitter fiend must practice.  She says to get glitter off nails, "saturate a cotton pad with polish remover and then press the pad on the nail for a few seconds before wiping the polish off."  This is exactly what I do.  My tip to add to this is...if your regular polish remover still doesn't work well, you probably should use 100% acetone instead.  This is especially true if you do glitter layers.  Be sure to moisturize your hands prior to glitter removal because leaving remover on your skin for long can and will dry out those cuticles.   Better yet, use your new Julep Roll-on Cuticle Oil to protect cuticles from harsh removers!
