Phat Camp, OMG!

Yet another beauty from Pretty and Polished's Camp Collection, Phat Camp does not disappoint! It has small fuchsia glitters, purple glitter shards, and large blue hex glitters in a clear base.

I am LOVING this mani!

The next pic was with flash and not great but I had to show you how crazy cool the glitters look in this light!

Pretty and Polished's Boot Camp Review

I recently acquired Pretty and Polished's Camp Collection and Boot Camp is one of them.

Boot Camp is a brilliant, shimmery green base with black hex and bar glitters, copper hex glitters, and small green hex glitters.  I am wearing two coats of it on each finger and it becomes opaque after the 2nd coat.    If you have some camo themed nails, this polish would be a great accent nail or base color.  I think it would also be a great base for grass or trees on nail art!  Easy to apply and vibrant.

What do you think?

Orly Glam FX Fun

I did these nails for the ORLY Glam FX nail contest and THEN read the rules.  I only used two Glam FX colors and they require three so I am probably going to go and buy a couple of others but I do love how these turned out!

For these nails, I started with a base coat of ORLY rubberized and then pained half of each nail with Mysterious Curse and the other half with Blue By You.   I then overlapped Can't be Tamed in the middle with Spazmatic so that they each had a little on the opposite side.  Last, I did a generous swish of Chunky Holo Bluebell down the middle of the nail for a vertical gradient effect.

The pictures do not do these nails justice.  In the sun they sparkle so amazing.  Back to the drawing board on the contest nails but do try something like these?  So beautiful!

Blossom Nails

I was inspired to do this design by a rubber stamp.  The dots aren't quite to my liking but I love the colors.   This is a very Springish theme.  Anyway, its completely free-handed and different!

Yay for color!

Bikini So Teeny with The Worst Possible Thing

I finally got around to using my gorgeous bottle of Essie polish, Bikini So Teeny.  While I love it alone, I also have several awesome new glitters sitting on my table unused.   After careful consideration, I thought that Rainbow Honey's The Worst Possible Thing would pair up wonderfully with Bikini.

Love, love, LOVE this combination!

Rainbow Honey's 20 % Cooler

I painted on Sinful Color's Dream On and thought it needed something so I raced over to my newest pretties in my polish stash, the Equestria Collection, and found 20 percent Cooler.  Isn't Rainbow Honey a polish goddess?  I friggin' love her glitters!

You can still see the POP! of Dream On in all its fuchsia glory but 20 percent Cooler makes this mani 20 percent more awesome.

Also, please pay no attention to my shorty short nails?  Stress is not a friend to my manicures of late but I am working on getting them back into shape.

FLOAM Came!! Oh, and Rainbow Honey's Equestria Collection!!

Gah, these last few weeks have yielded some EPIC polish hauls.  I was able to get a couple of bottles of Floam from Ninja Polish AND I scored the entire mini Equestria Set from Rainbow Honey.  My spending hiatus is back on after scoring several of my lemmings.  I have a couple shipments still out there from Zambia Trip 2012 nails and from Pretty & Polished!

I am going to wear Pinkie Promise on my toes and I already have a Floam mani:)  Such a glitterbug!

Patriotic Toes

Its a rare occasion that I show my toes but I just had to show these!   I used Sinful Color's Blue By You on my big toes and Sinful Color's Sugar, Sugar on the rest. I then used Kiss Nail Art White Stripping on the vertical strips and Konad white stamping polish on the big toes with Cheeky image plate Ch5.

I love how EASY these were and how long they've lasted!

Fireworks July 4th Nails--Week 27 of the Year of Polish Challenge

I did these for an Independence Day Nail Art Contest but they also satisfy Week 27 of the Year of Polish Challenge.  I don't really get into holidays so much so you won't see my blog full of holiday nails but I do like the 4th, if only because its almost always a guaranteed day off for librarians and library workers!  I think I did a pretty good effort on the fireworks bursts!

If you have any tips for better bursts, let me know!  These were free-handed each with two separate polishes of similar shades and then topped with Nail's Inc Holographic top coat.  These nails make me think of this song:

Windestine's I'll Fly With You Swatch

I just had to share this swatch I did with Windestine's I'll Fly with You over one coat of Zoya's Myrta!
